Alia Majeed
Alia Majeed rang with Low Ding Zone in the fall of 2007. She has been ringing off and on for four years including her junior year of high school in Libertyville, IL, two years at the end of college in Evanston, IL, and this past year in Menlo Park at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Besides handbells, she is an accomplished clarinet player, an improving guitar player, and a sometime piano player though mainly she uses it for arranging music so as not to incite complaints from the neighbors. She also sang in her fraternity choir in college and was a founding member of and arranger for the chapter a cappella group. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota (international music fraternity for women) pledged in Beta Chapter at Northwestern University.
During the week she can be found wielding her pipet and eppendorf tubes as a Research Associate studying cell signaling pathways at Genentech in South San Francisco.
